PAKISTAN
Oh hidden gem!
Exquisite lands,
My camera a few days ago witnesses your being,
Serene friend.
The hands of your working people,
The mosques as effigies,
Silent and observers,
of becoming.
I am one more tourist,
But secretly I am the most epicurean,
of your meals, of your fragrances,
cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon.
I like your places,
And more your huge squares,
Crowded with modest people,
but kind.
Your mountains and their green,
they give for an ode,
a long and felt,
Deep,
As an Iqbal line.
