Films you did not know are based on books

Everyone knows that there is currently a boom to adapt best sellers to movies, the result has been generally good. However, many people are unaware that some of the most box office films come from books by well-known authors, here we show you eight films you did not know are based on books:
I AM LEGEND
I am a legend, it is a film based on the novel of the same name by Richard Matheson. This film has a plot in which irrational beings roam the world, this caused by a vaccine that creates mutations, Robert Neville, a scientist is the only survivor. Between the book and the film there are notorious differences, as Robert in the book does not have a bitch named Sam and that the mutations were not caused by a vaccine but by a bacteria that spreads through the air.
FIGHT CLUB
It premiered in 1999. The plot is complex and tells the story of a gray-haired child who suffers from insomnia, who through different events meets people who will be part of a strange fighting club with certain rules (including Tyler Durden). They'll call it "The Fight Club," "that's it." Thanks to the fight club, the problems at work will not be as relevant, the dialogues help a lot, authentic pearls of subversion, and the script, based on Chuck's novel. Palahniuk and that also distills the same raw taste.
I ROBOT
This film was also starring Will Smith in 2004, based on a novel by Isaac Asimov. Its plot consists of a rebellion of a robot in a future world in which robots serve humans under three rules, the character of Smith will be responsible for investigating why they have committed homicides to humans, with the robots as possible culprits. This story occurred to Asimov in a fast food restaurant when he was a child.
THE CIRCLE
The circle is based on the novel of the same name by Dave Eggers, published in 2013, a dystopian work in which we are presented with a digital world where there are no secrets and the lives of citizens are observed in any corner of the world. Emma Watson as protagonist will play a young woman who enters to work at a company called "The Circle" that controls all the information of the world in an account and uses it to control people.
THE FIFHT WAVE
It is true that this film received many criticisms, but it would be highly recommended to read the book on which it is based with the same name and is written by Ricky Yancey. In the book there are many differences with respect to the film. As for example, in the book Cassie is not allowed to get on the bus so she says goodbye to her brother and gives her the bear, instead in the film Cassie goes to the camp for the bear and when she returns she only sees her brother leave.
BIRD BOX
Bird Box is the film adaptation of the novel of the same name by Josh Malerman, published in 2014. The story begins with the climax and then several flashbacks will come, the plot consists of a deadly entity that when seen provokes the desire of suicide. This film has been well accepted and is quite faithful to the book.
READY PLAYER ONE
This film meant the return of Spielberg, based on the novel by the American Ernst Cline. It is the story of a boy who enters a virtual world called Oasis, where it is possible to be what you want, however, the death of the creator of this world has opened a difficult competition in which this boy will participate. The book and the film are somewhat complicated, but not boring.
 THE DARK TOWER
This film was the return of the works of Stephen King to the screens. It is the story of Jakea boy who has had nightmares about a tower, a world and a black man, although his family believes him crazy that world is real, through a psychic child he manages to access that world and fight with entities malignant It was not also at the box office but the plot is interesting in the book.
